The competitive pathway includes the following squads:

• Skills Squad (Levels 1–4)
• Interage Squad
• Age Group Squad

​This pathway supports divers who are ready to progress beyond fundamentals, developing technique, consistency, and confidence in a more structured training environment, with opportunities to begin competing at national level.

Skills Squad (Levels 1–4)

Who it's for​

• Divers invited into the competitive pathway
• Typically progressing from Grade Classes

What to expect
    Training focus

• National skills development programme
• ​Technique and consistency
• Introduction to competition

    Commitment

• 2 sessions per week
• Participation in Skills Testing events expected

Session structure

• 2 sessions per week
• Structured progression through skills levels

Diving NZ Skills Levels 1–3

• Mondays 4.00-6.00pm (dryland & pool)
• Saturdays 11.30-12.30pm (pool only)

• Tuesdays 3.30-6.00pm (dryland & pool)
• Wednesdays 4.00-6.00pm (dryland & pool)
• Thursdays 5.00-7.30pm (dryland & pool)
• Optional: Fridays 4.00-6.00pm (dryland & pool)
• Saturdays 8.30-11.30am (dryland & pool)

Fees

• 4x/week, excluding the optional dryland session: $250 per month
• 5x/week, including the optional dryland session: $290
