Safety and wellbeing

The safety and wellbeing of our divers is our top priority. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to participate with confidence.

We ask all members and families to:

Follow pool and dryland safety guidelines
Ensure children are supervised outside of session times
Communicate any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns with coaches
Treat others with respect at all times

Programme and participation

Our programmes are designed to support each diver’s development at the right pace, while maintaining a positive and structured training environment.

To support this, we ask that:

Divers attend sessions regularly and arrive on time
Coaches are the primary point of guidance for skill progression
Movement between levels or squads is based on coach assessment
Families communicate with us if their child is unable to attend

Membership and fees

Clear and consistent processes help us keep things running smoothly for everyone.

Fees are set by programme and are payable as outlined at registration
Any applicable affiliation fees are included where relevant

Competition and events

Competitions are an exciting part of the diving journey and provide an opportunity for divers to challenge themselves and grow.
For those participating in competitions:

Entry into competitive squads and events may be by invitation or coach recommendation
Divers are expected to represent Canterbury Diving positively
Families will receive information about competition requirements and expectations in advance

Having the right gear helps divers feel prepared and confident in both training and competitions.

Communication and commitment

We communicate primarily via email and our registration platform
